Transcription Rates

Rates quoted are for minutes of audio submitted.

Flexible delivery (normally within two weeks) - from £1.10/minute
Delivery within one week - from £1.30/minute
Next day delivery - from £1.70/minute
Student rate* (delivery in line with our flexible rate) - £1.00/minute

Editing of auto-generated AI transcripts from Zoom/Teams etc. - from £0.80/minute (Please note, transcripts will be full verbatim and will be sent back in the same format as they are produced by Zoom/Teams etc.) We will need to see the transcripts and listen to the audio before we accept this kind of work as it generally works out to be quicker/easier/cheaper to transcribe from scratch. Get in touch and we’ll have the conversation.

Additional fees apply for more than two speakers, poor quality audio (quiet speakers, background noise etc.), difficult to understand accents, time stamps, custom templates, full verbatim and individual files over two hours in length (which need to be edited into ~60 minute portions). Any extra charges will be discussed and confirmed with you before work commences on the files.

We are happy to provide an estimate on request but a full and final quote for the audio can only be given after we have had the opportunity to evaluate the files for quality. Uploading to our system is safe and secure: here’s a guide. Any files uploaded for evaluation purposes will be treated in accordance with our data security protocols and will be wiped from the system with no charge if the job does not go ahead.

Delivery times refer to business days (Monday to Friday). We aim to deliver the transcripts by 5pm on the deadline day. Delivery earlier than 5pm and/or on weekends may be possible if requested by email and confirmed prior to commencement of transcription. 

* Student rate is available only for intelligent verbatim transcription of good quality audio, one to one in-person interviews. Transcripts will be delivered in line with our flexible rate service.
